Yokomo take 19 turn victory at Carpet Thrashnals

It was a successful transition from 27 turn stock to 19 turn super stock for Yokomo CML driver Stephen Davies at round 1 of the CML Carpet Thrashnals, Stephen took FTD and won the A final with his Yokomo BD.

At last season Carpet Thrashnals Stephen Davies dominated the 27 turn stock class, this season he has moved up to 19 turn super stock and it was a maiden victory for him at round one, his Yokomo being the class of the field in qualifying and in the A final. Also well up in qualifying were the Yokomo?s of Rob West and Chris Bottle. Stephen was under pressure for the early part of the A final from fellow Yokomo driver Mark Broomfield, but Stephen held on to take a well deserved win. In 27 stock Tom Watts narrowly missed FTD and had to settle for second on the grid for the A final with his Associated TC4 FT, Tom kept the pressure on pole man Mark Williams during the A final but had to settle for second. Gary Dyson qualified third with his BD but was unfortunately dogged in the final by interference. The next round of the CML Carpet Thrashnals in two weeks time.
