Yateley School Car Club Open Day - 10th June

Yateley School Car Club Open Day - 10th June

YSCC have been running R/C race meetings for the past 12 years on a playground but now have a purpose built dedicated track within the school grounds. The only one of its type in the uk.

The Yateley School Car Club track has been built in the school grounds with private money costing over ?30,000. The site was created for children (and dads as well), the disabled and the under privileged in the local community, to join and race their 1/10th electric model cars on official race days. As well as a great looking track they also have AMBrc timing with electronic score board to keep you up to date with heats and times. 'Its taken 12 long years to get this far, we used to race on a play ground ,and had to put ropes out every sat morning , now we have our own dedicated track.' Ian Finch, YSCC Chairman. The YSCC run alternate Sat / Sun every week to accomodate everyone, with hot food and full English Breakfasts available on Sundays for ?2.80 including toast and tea. They are holding a Grand Opening on 10th June when BTCC champion Rob Collard will officially declare the new track open. Everyone is welcome, for more information go to the website http://www.y-s-c-c.co.uk or contact the Chairman Ian Finch on 07990 880133.
