Wood & Savox win BRCA Round 2

CML are delighted to report Savox racer Tim Wood has won the second round of the BRCA 1/8 Circuit nationals.

Last weekend saw the 1/8 Circuit championship travel to the Wombell circuit near Barnsley. After a poor Worlds (simply a bad meeting and bad luck for Tim) he bounced back with an A final win to kickstart the year. The weekend was spent working closely with team-mate Mark Green to dial the Savox powered Serpent 966 Evo in for the challenging track. The work was rewarded qualifying 3rd Overall. After a thrilling race, Tim won by just 3 seconds for a Serpent 1-2. Tim was using Savox SC1258-TG servos in his car, but Serpent term-mates Richard Hicklin and John Carr were also found to be using the Savox Hi-Volt Lipo Servos to great effect. Both racers placed well in the top ten. The use of the servos is widespread in this class, and Tim's performance, showcasing them at their best continues to gain a greater following. Next race is Round 3 at Mendip followed shortly by the 1/8 Euros in Luxembourg where Savox are sure to be strong again. Pictures courtesy of Red RC.
