TC5 Wins at BRCA Juniors

Zak Smith takes a dominating win in his class at last weekends National Juniors.

Last weekend saw the BRCA Junior Young Guns touring car championships at the popular Eastbourne track on the south coast. Representing CML was Associated's very own 'Young Gun' Zak Smith who was competing in the under 14 brushless 10.5 class. Zak dominated the class setting fastest time in all three rounds of qualifying, in the finals he drove away in both legs to take a convincing win. The BRCA Juniors winners podium. Zak has a had a great season so far and is currently just outside of the top ten in the Pro Stock class of the national series, he has also performed well at the BTCC scoring two second overall places in the Pro Stock class. Supporting Zak at the juniors was fellow Associated team mate Cameron McDonald, Cam was racing in the open 13.5 brushless class and he won the B final, Cam had just returned from the touring car Euros in Luxemburg where he gained a lot of valuable experience which he hopes to put to good effect at the remaining two nationals.
