Simon Reeves Wins Round 8 of the HNMC Winter Series

Sunday 14th February 2016 would see some of the CML Nitro team head to Herts for Round 8 of the HNMC Winter Series. Rounds 6 and 7 were previously held on the Astro track but as the weather has been getting better and better Round 8 would see the club get back onto the fantastic Dirt track.

Qualifying got underway and would see the CML/AE team with Simon Reeves in 4th having TQ’d round 2, Jamie Clancy lining up in 6th both with their REX/Byron powered Team Associated RC8B3’s and Darren Hayden-Ball in 7th also with his RC8B3.

As the lower finals started the track was drying quickly and the lap times would start to get faster and faster. The Main would see a great race amongst the top 5 drivers which would see Simon Reeves come out on top to take the win with his REX/Byron powered RC8B3, Jamie came home 3rd only 2 seconds behind Simon also running REX proving it had plenty of go for the young gun, Darren would come home 6th and Charles Godwin 8th both with their Team Associated RC8B3’s.

Simon Reeves also dominated E-Buggy with his RC8B3e taking the TQ and Win by some margin.
Both Simon's and Jamie’s Savox/REX/Byron powered RC8B3’s performed flawlessly combined with the Pro-Line tyres proved to be a great package.
