Shopatron Online Shopping Service Goes Live

CML values the relationships that we have built with our retailers. In an effort to cater to consumer demand for our products online, we are providing an innovative approach to selling on the internet. Quite simply, consumers place their orders on our site and the retailer get the opportunity to fulfil the order. Shopatron is used across dozens of industries and is already in place on many top name RC websites in the USA such as Pro-Line, Novak, Venom and RPM. In an effort to bring the benefits these manufacturers and their customers are receiving, to the UK market, CML Distribution has invested in the Shopatron Online Shopping Service that will allow consumers to purchase from our website but in a way that gives hobby shop retailers the sale. HOW IT WORKS

• 1) PLACING OF ORDERS: Consumers who choose to shop online access the CML Distribution website to purchase products. Similar to other online stores, they use a simple shopping cart and purchase using their credit card.
• 2) ORDER ALLOCATION PROCESS: Via the Shopatron control panel retailers are able to see the orders which have been placed through our site. If the shop has that product in stock they can then offer to fulfil that order for the consumer.
• 3) SHIPPING: If more than one shop can fulfil the order it is awarded to the retailer that is geographically closest to the consumer. The fulfiller then has 24 hours to ship the order and enter the tracking number back into the system.

The CML website gets thousands of hits every week with modellers wanting to buy items ranging from cars, boats, planes and accessories. Now they can click on the items they want to purchase and have them shipped directly from the model hobby shops.
