SC10 4x4 Rocks

Team Associated?s SC10 4x4 is a winner as the CML team dominate 4wd & 2wd at the UK Short Course Nationals.

Round 3 of this burgeoning series took place at the Notts and Derby Off Road club (www.ndor.co.uk) as the blazing hot sun greeted the highest driver turn-out yet for the championship. The new SC10 4x4 was making its debut in the UK Short Course Nats, and running with a completely standard kit fresh out the box, CML driver Keith Robertson just missed out on taking the pole position on count-back, by 4/10th of a second. In the 2wd class, Richard Lowe continued his form from the previous meetings to once again be the class of the field with his SC10 in the 2wd class, taking all four qualifying rounds easily. In the 4wd finals, some great racing saw Keith take the wins in the first two legs to seal up the overall victory with a leg of the finals still to go. Pretty impressive for the UK debut of the SC10 4x4. In the 2wd, Richard just drove away from the field in all three legs to take another convincing win and cement his position as championship favourite. Keith was using the Novak Havoc Pro SC speed controller with the Ballistic 550 4.5t motor. Both drivers were using Reedy batteries and Fastrax Kourse King tyres with Fastrax SC inserts - which are ideally suited to the demands of an astro-turf or grass surface. All in all a great meeting for the Associated SC10 range of Short Course trucks. The next round of the series is at the Adur Model Car Club. Check out www.ukshortcourse.com for more information.
