Novak wins RC Super Bike National

At a sun drenched Mendip circuit, the RC Bikes National series reached the half way point. With a track in perfect condition all race and lap records were sure to tumble.

In the first leg of the A final for Superbikes, the Lipo powered, brushless power houses wriggled, wheelied and power slided to thrill the crowds. In the first leg Colin McCabe?s run of bad luck had finally come to an end as he went onto win leg 1 coming back from a poor start to pass early leader Jevon Frost, and then Dave Andrew for a convincing win 3 seconds ahead of the dicing duo who crossed the line just 0.07 seconds apart for a photo finish, which Jevons McLarney Superbike took by a nose, powered by a Novak GTB 7.5 Combo. In leg two it was Jevon and Dave who supplied the drama up front. Jevon stayed clean and fast to win and take the overall victory, Dave taking second and Steve Leake taking the final step of the podium with a good haul of 3rd and 4th finishes. Jevon Frost's Novak powered McLarney Daytona Superbike took his first National win. In Supersport Dave Scouse continued his domination of the class despite some intense competition, running his Novak 13.5 Pro at such a pace that his McLarney Daytona was right on the money. See the BRCA web site www.brca.org and visit the bike section for a photo gallery, videos and links to forums and clubs. See RRCi magazine for the full series coverage. Dave Scouse power sliding his Novak 13.5 propelled Supersport.
