Novak Brushless flies at 12th National
At the recent 12th circuit national held at Crewe, the Novak Brushless speed controller/motor combination proved its speed and drivability with a fine showing in the A final.
Using brushless for the first time in his Associated L4 car, CML / Microtech Racing driver Keith Robertson qualified in 2nd place overall and despite some crashes in the final came home in a very respectable 5th place, only a few seconds behind the winner.
His L4 car was fitted with the Novak GTB speed controller and Novak 4.5R motor. With 12th circuit running 4-cells, there was no need to use the fan, as the speed controller could handle all the power and still run cool without it.
In 19t, the Checkpoint Money motor is getting increasingly popular and proved to be the motor of choice for the A final with 6 out of the top 10 drivers using:
