Magical Domination

Dave Crompton made his mark early with TQ in the first qualifying round, being the only driver to make 9 laps. Team mate Dave Bailey confirmed the pace of the M1-B by taking second in the round. The second round saw DC take second in round with a couple of incidents which cost him the round win, and Dave Bailey posted another good score with fifth in round thus firmly securing both drivers near the front of the grid in the main final. The final itself was extemely close for the frist 10 mins with the first six cars all within a couple of seconds. After the first round of pitstops the M1-B of Dave Crompton started to build a good lead which he continued to extend right to the flag, eventually finishing 17 secs clear of the field. Dave Bailey had to settle for 6th place after a tough mid race scrap. Both drivers ran there cars with RB engines, O'Donnell 30% fuel and Proline M3 tyres. The pair now look forward to the first national round at the same venue in 3 weeks time.
