Hyper Tension

Both drivers endured a fairly tough first round with the slower cars, but the 'old dog' showed that the Hyper 8 is still a major force with the overall round win in round 2 setting a time that was 5 seconds quicker than anyone else. Round 3 saw Graham Alsop set the track alight with a spectacular run that even with a 6 second crash was the fastest time of the meeting. Both drivers found themselves in the top half of the 'A' final grid with Graham 2nd and Steve 6th. In the final Steve suffered a cut on the line and lost a lap, but Graham ran a strong 2nd for the majority, but a risky tyre choice saw his tyres go off and he eventually slipped to 3rd at the flag. Still lessons were learned and both drivers were happy that they will go into the national well on the pace.
