Hyper 21 a success for UK Endurance Masters

Hyper 21 a success for UK Endurance Masters

Sunday 17th October saw the first UK Endurance Masters held at Stoke Model Car Club's multi-surface astro turf venue.

With all proceeds going towards Help for Heroes everyone was looking towards a 'different' days racing all for a worthy cause. The venerable Hyper 21 engine was chosen as the control engine for all 26 teams, along with Byron RACE Gen2 fuel. With the Hyper 21 control engine all teams were able to race with the knowledge that they were on a level playing field. The track at Stoke Model Car Club (top) and a whole load of HoBao engines and Byron fuel (below). As the hours passed and the engines began to settle into a 'run-in' state the lap times began to plummet as Team Associated's Neil Cragg began to circuit at lap record pace with his RC8B. HoBao's Hyper 9 team were unable to hold onto their early lead, but held onto second with a solid all round performance. Feedback from the event was that the Hyper 21 3-port Race engine was immensely impressive, handling the demands of 6 hours continuous running comfortably. Many drivers were also commenting on the impressive drivability of the engine on the slippery and damp surface on which the event began. Click here for more images. Congratulations to the organisers and the teams on what was a great event! The HoBao racing team (left) and the HoBao Hyper 9 of team captain John Howells (right).
