CML's James Harrold Finishes the Silverstone Winter Series in 2nd Overall

Saturday 12th March saw the 5th and final round of the well attended Silverstone Winter Series, James Harrold managed 2nd overall and top junior

As this was the last round it was all to play for as James was topping the 4wd leader board. It was very close on points with three rounds to count from the five and it could go either way depending on how others faired.

The pressure was on from the start of qualifying and after a strong performance from James he placed his Reedy powered Team Associated B44.3 in 7th spot. It would turn out that no matter what James did he would not be able to take the championship so the race was on for the runners up spot.

All James had to do was drive clean, stay out of trouble and finish no more than one place behind his nearest rival. As the finals started James knew what he had to do and managed a great start, he soon got into his rhythm after making his way up to fourth place (behind his rival in third!) It soon became clear James couldn't catch the leading pack but was driving well enough to keep clear of the chasing bunch. James would carry on to drive the final laps cleanly and keep out of trouble.

James did all he needed to do with a clean calculated drive to take 2nd overall with his Reedy powered Team Associated B44.3, he also bagged Top Junior and a massive trophy!

Well done James and Gareth from all at CML.
Now the indoor season is coming to a close James will be switching back to his Team Associated RC8B3 for some nitro fun!
