CML Nitro Winter Champs
Round 1 of the CML Nitro Winter Champs took place over the weekend with a top class field in attendance to kick the series off.
With World, European and National champions all in the action the pace was extremely hot.
After qualifying Darren Bloomfield came out on top with a fantastic time, the only guy to make 9 laps in a qualifying run. He was followed by Graham Alsop with his Hyper 8.5 and Simon Willetts. These guys were followed by the Associated pair of Neil Cragg and Elliott Boots.
In the main final Darren took the early lead and looked quite comfortable until a mechanical failure forced him out. The final was notable for quite a few retirements for various reasons. CML Hyper 8.5 driver John Holmes was the driver who dealt best with the testing track and after the 20 minutes it was he who came out victorious.
