BRCA Demo at NEC Autosports Show 2009
RRCi were at this years NEC Autosport show where the theme was "GT".
The BRCA set up a race meeting based on "Reedy" style for the recently revived Pro 10 class, wearing GT shells to launch the new GT class. Running 4 cells and brushless stock motors these 2WD cars with limited downforce put on a great show in a limited area, pleasing the crowds with the intense race action. Chris Wilkinson was declared the winner of the GT class, running a RC10 R5, and Mardave G2 brushless system.
The weekend was interspersed with slots for 1/8th rally cross, 1/8th stock cars, 1/8th circuit cars to bring noise to the proceedings and satisfy the petrol heads attending the show. Quieter but no less spectacular were classes for 1/10th touring cars, 1/10th off road and 1/8th bikes. The Venom GPV-1 demo squad were in action on carpet for the first time and surprised everyone with their performance on kit tyres, kit motors and kit chassis/suspension.
