Baird TQ's and Wins Irish Nationals Rd4

Round 4 of the Irish nationals took a trip to the all dirt venue of BADMCC were Bradley Baird took TQ and won with his Byron powered Associated RC8B.

The BADMCC facility was in tip top condition for Round 4 of the Irish Championship, and it was Christopher McCauley who made the early runing TQing rounds 1 and 2. Round 3 went to Bradley, while in round 4 Chrissy and Brad were neck and neck and had it all to play for the overall TQ, but in the end Brad knuckeled down and just pinched it, Chrissy put in four solid runs to take second overall and Arron Vance put his nitrotec powered losi to third overall. Ross McDonald dominated the C final bumping up to the B where Marty O'Doherty sailed his way into the A final but it was and Andrew Rennick who was the big name in the B final working from the bottom of the pack to the main final. Rain made the start of the A final challenging with track conditions changing significantly with heavy showers then sun drying the track in minutes over the duration of the 45 minute final. In the end, after some very close racing between the former truggy national champs, it was Bradley Baird who led every lap to take his second win of the championship, Christoper McCauley second and Alan Scroggie in third. So with one round remaining in the Irish Championship Bradley is carrying 2 wins and a second into the last round, and Chrissy a win a second and a third- so its all to play for in Navan and the final round!
