Attention Warbird Fans

RCMW with Q&EFI are supporting a Battle of Britain 70 th anniversary fly-in at the Sutton Coldfield RCAC site on September 19th 2010.

The club, better known as the Fradley Club are organising the event to be held on the runway at the former RAF Lichfield WWII airfield. There is an upper model weight limit of 20 kg but Warbird models of the era (excluding jets) are welcome. Models may be glow, petrol or electric and ARTF. There will be prizes for various categories supported by Traplet Publications and the model trade. Full refreshments will be available in the form of a barbecue and a ready supply of tea and coffee. Club Chairman Steve Mallinder welcomed the opportunity for the club to host the event and assures all visitors of a warm welcome. In addition there will be a Grand Raffle supported by CML Distribution. Pilot registration will be ?5.00 but entry to site is free. Bring along your Spitfires, Hurricanes, Lancasters et al and enjoy a relaxed day?s flying. CML?s show team and invited guest flyers will also be in attendance showcasing amongst others: FMS: Mustang, Spitfire, P40 Warhawk, BF 109, Alpha Models: Spitfire, Hawker Tempest, P47 Thunderbolt, Mustang.
