Associated L4 shows it?s pace once more

Round 3 of the BRCA 12th circuit nationals saw a new venue for the racers, a superb sports hall at Cramlington in the North East.

With brand new Prima Duo carpet to race on, grip was very high and with a large fast layout the racing was once again extremely close. CML / Microtech Racing driver Keith Robertson?s Associated L4 car was right on the pace on Saturday for the 19t event. With qualifying done and dusted, Keith sneaked the TQ position from Chris Kerswell by the tiny margin of two hundredths of a second! The final saw a clean start, and soon the top two pulled away. Unfortunately Keith got caught up with a back marker whilst lapping, the resulting off-track incident causing damage and ending his race. The new Jaco Prism wheel and tyre combo is one of the reasons for the great consistency in handling, these tyres becoming increasingly popular for both national and club racers alike. Keith was using Prism ?White? rears and Prism ?Lilac? fronts to set TQ.
