Alsop and HoBao Continue BRCA Dominance

The speed and performance of the HoBao Truggy Pro was once again demonstrated in the hands of team driver Graham Alsop at the latest round of the BRCA Truggy Championships.

The BRCA Truggy Championship still all to play for at round 3 Ledbury. Heat 8 would feature all the top drivers from the championship in overall position and would leave CML driver Graham Alsop and Jon Hazelwood to thrash it out in qualifying. Round one started with rain mid-way through the round leaving drivers in a predicament on what tyres to use. Graham chose to go on Pro-Line bowties which seemed an excellent choice, but a small mistake meant he didn?t quite set FTD. Round two was now bone dry and the sun was out and the shorts were on. Graham pulled his finger out and set FTD shaving 4 seconds off the previous best time sent by Simon Willets. Round three would be the penultimate round as TQ points were wanted by the top runners. A mistake from Graham on the first lap with a back marker would put him out the running for TQ leaving him to continue the run, testing for the final. A Final The start of the final was bound to be very close. Due to the narrow track and quick lap times lapping back markers was not going be an easy job to say the least. The buzzer went and the first three broke away after Matt Perry made a mistake on the first lap. This left Elliot Boots, John and Graham to battle it out for as long as it would take, Elliot was the first to make the mistake this gave John and Graham a chance to break away from the field and the race was on for the championship points. Neither driver could be split with a hair so it was down to pressure and mistakes to decide the winner of this race. John led up to the first stop, where Graham took over for a few laps, only for John to regain the lead due to Graham pitting. After the last pit stop Jon and Graham were about 3 seconds apart, and this race continued until about four laps from the finish where Graham made a move on John whilst he was trying to lap some backmarkers for the second time coming on to the straight. The RB Powered Hyper Truggy ST Pro of Graham passed John and went on to win the Ledbury leg and thus take another 100 points towards the overall championship.
