About the UIM E1 World Championship

E1 is the world’s first and only all-electric sanctioned Raceboat Championship by the Union Internationale Motonautique (UIM), which is the international governing body for all powerboating activities. The UIM E1 World Championship will see up to 10 teams racing on the water in iconic cities around the world. Season 1 will feature seven thrilling races around the world.

E1’s teams are owned by some of the biggest names in their fields from Tom Brady, Rafael Nadal, Virat Kohli, Didier Drogba and Sergio Pérez in sport to Steve Aoki and Marc Anthony in the world of music and entertainment. More celebrities are expecting to join in.

The UIM E1 World Championship has granted Joysway the exclusive global licence to produce 1:14 scale remote control RaceBird models. 

The model produced for E1 is Joysway’s first foiling electric model and behaves and foils exactly like the full size RaceBird thanks to Joysway’s extensive development. E1 team and Rodi Basso, CEO of E1, highly recognising the quality and foiling performance.
